HALLOWEEN

Halloween is celebrated by people from the United States on October 31. Many people, but mostly children dress up in costumes such as pumpkins, vampires, witches, super heroes, police officers, and monsters.

It   was one of my favourite holidays when I was little because my dad would take me trick or treating around my neighborhood. When I got home I would have a ton of candy, that I couldn’t wait to eat. I always had to wait until my dad got through checking all my candy to make sure it was safe. My mom would always hide away our candy away from me and my brother. We would have enough candy to last us for months.

The colors of Halloween are orange and black.

At many elementary and middle schools, kids have halloween parties while dressed up in their costume. I like watching the small children all dressed up,they are so cute while they walk hold their parents hand trick or treating.

In high school we have a contest on the best, and most creative costumes. Kids get so creative, many try to be different than always trying to have the original costumes.

There are many places where people can buy their costumes, some just make their own. Even though trick or treating is for smaller kids, teenagers around 15-18 still do it. The only difference is we are usually lazy to wear costumes, we wear whatever is comfortable because it’s a lot of walking.

Most teachers don’t  give homework the night of Halloween. Many kids our age celebrate Halloween by watching scary movies with their friends. During this time of the year there are a lot of  scary movies coming out because of Halloween. There are places that people go to become frightened, called Haunted Houses.

And That’s all about Halloween.
